Design

The new Ri5 website was designed by a 3rd party commissioned for the project. With the chosen design, Ideal Websites was tasked with generating accessible, compliant, flexible templates to integrate with the new content management system.

News

Recruitment industry news is the heart of the Ri5 site. Using the bespoke content management system the Ri5 editors can write up articles from anywhere, at any time. Stories are then categorised and archived automatically, with Ri5 in full control of which stories appear where on the main news pages. RSS feeds are also available for the various news categories.

Banners

Ri5 display banners throughout their website. Their advertisers include The Times, The Guardian, Fish4jobs and Monster. A banner system was developed for the website that allows Ri5 to control which banners appear in different parts of the site and how often they should appear. Most importantly, Ri5 are now able to monitor how many people view and click a banner over a given date range.

The way [Ideal Websites] quickly gained an understanding of the needs of this specialist business-to-business sector was highly impressive, and the new site - launched in early 2008 - represented a major improvement on the look, feel and usability of the previous version. (Feedback from the industry has been universally positive.)

Two further features of their service stand out: the excellence of the content management system, which has not only enhanced the speed and flexibility of the site but also significantly reduced management costs; and the prompt, responsive technical support received before, during and since the relaunch.
